Fall Into Art 2021 is cancelled due to concerns over Covid

So much has changed in the world and in our community since we were last able to host this great art show. The Parkade Center is no longer hosting events, so we reimagined Fall Into Art for 2021. We found a very different venue for a small, juried, one-day show. When we decided to go ahead with this year's event, it looked like Covid-19 was going to be a thing of the past.  But as more than half of Missourians declined to be vaccinated and the Delta variant began claiming lives, we had to rethink our decision.  Even though the event was to be held in an outdoor pavilion, with the sides down and heating in place it was essentially going to be an indoor event.  We discussed requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test of all participants.  We thought of requiring everyone to wear masks.  Both of these seem reasonable but difficult for us, a very small organizing committee, to oversee.  And we ourselves do not feel comfortable being in a crowded indoor event all day.

It is with reluctance and great sadness that we have made the decision to cancel this year's event.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused our artists.  And we hope that by next year, Covid will finally be behind us, we will have found our new home, and we can safely host a two-day show once again.  Please watch this space and our Facebook page for updates.
