Fall Into Art, reimagined again for 2022, is back! Retaining our wonderful blend of fine art and fine craft, the show will see some important changes. We have a new venue! We've moved to the Knights of Columbus Event Center off Stadium Boulevard in Columbia, MO. This wonderful, open space is inside, and features a number of convenient entrances for loading and unloading, as well as plentiful parking.
So much has changed in the world and in our community since we were last able to host this great art show. The Parkade Center is no longer hosting events, so we reimagined Fall Into Art for 2021. We found a very different venue for a small, juried, one-day show. When we decided to go ahead with that year's event, it looked like Covid-19 was going to be a thing of the past. But as more than half of Missourians declined to be vaccinated and the Delta variant began claiming lives, we had to rethink our decision. Even though the event was to be held in an outdoor pavilion, with the sides down and heating in place it was essentially going to be an indoor event. We discussed requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test of all participants. We thought of requiring everyone to wear masks. Both of these seem reasonable but difficult for us, a very small organizing committee, to oversee.
It was with reluctance and great sadness that we made the decision to cancel 2021's event. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused our artists. Thankfully, the show is on this year, though!
The show is run by a small group of artists, with the needs of artists at the forefront. We are dedicated to building our customer base each year and work very hard to bring in art lovers and buyers. Columbia is a college town, home of two colleges and the University of Missouri, as well as two satellite community colleges. We have a high percentage of educated residents who appreciate the arts. We invite you to be a part of Fall Into Art (Reimagined)!
