Fall Into Art 2019 Info for Artists

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 show has been cancelled

 

TIMELINE:

July 31 - Application deadline

August 5 - Late application deadline (No applications accepted after this date)

August 15 - Jury notifications sent (please add committee@FallIntoArt.org to your address book)

September 6 - Booth and business license fees due (see below for fees)

September 30 - No refunds after this date

YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE COMPLETE UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED, BY MAIL, YOUR PRINTED, SIGNED APPLICATION!

 

JURYING:

Applications will be blind juried by an outside juror.  In order to provide a balanced show, we will be limiting the number of artists in each category.  Artists, please note that If you would like to show two different media, you will need to submit two separate applications and two jury fees. This is especially important with jewelry, which category tends to become overfull. For example, if you are primarily showing wooden bowls and you would like to include wooden jewelry, you must submit a separate application in jewelry. Work submitted and shown in your digital images must be entirely original and created by the artist or by collaboration between two artists.  If the work you bring does not reflect the digital images you submitted for jury, you may be asked to leave the show.  

 

BOOTHS:  

Booths are 8’ deep x 10’ wide.  Your chair and your entire display must fit within this space. You must provide your own display equipment, but if necessary, you may rent tables and chairs from the Event Center for a nominal fee.  Although not required, we prefer that your booth setup include three walls and that tables be covered to the floor. Electricity is FREE and will be available to all booths.  Please bring your own extension cord and power strip.    

 

FEES:  

Jury fee - $25, due with application 

Booth fee - $125 (July 31 deadline) or $150 (August 5 deadline)  

City of Columbia business license - $10 (if you do not have one)

All fees, other than your jury fee, will be payable by check AFTER you have been accepted. Upon acceptance, you will receive instructions about where to send fees and further information.

 

ARTIST AMENITIES:  

We will have breakfast for you on Saturday morning and brunch on Sunday morning.  Coffee is available throughout the show.  There are three eateries in the Event Center, as well.  We will have boothsitters available both days.
